Curlew extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Annika Baker. The Curlew Cougars walked away with a 42-30 win over the Selkirk Rangers on Saturday thanks in part to Baker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 20 boards. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Melissa Bineau, who posted nine points and five boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Curlew's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Selkirk, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Curlew will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Waterville at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Selkirk will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame on January 4, 2025.
