Basketball Game Preview: West Stanly Colts vs. South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls

West Stanly and South Stanly are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the West Stanly Colts will get right back to it and host the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, West Stanly turned things around against Albemarle on Thursday. They took down the Bulldogs 71-57.

Meanwhile, South Stanly was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 67-62 to Anson. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Rowdy Rebel Bulls still had to take the loss.

South Stanly has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for West Stanly, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

West Stanly ended up a good deal behind South Stanly in their previous matchup on Friday, losing 60-46. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of South Stanly's Gavyn Miller, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards.
