Baseball Recap: Barnsdall Takes a Loss

Barnsdall managed to slip by Copan the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 14-2 to the Hornets on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since March 23rd.

Barnsdall dropped their record down to 13-11-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Copan, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Barnsdall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-2 loss against Skiatook on the 17th. As for Copan, they will host Oklahoma Union at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.07 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
