Emery Coleman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Aaron Orozco was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Coy Allman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
While Nova didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a run and slipped past Gulf Coast 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Jaiden Delgado made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other pitching news, Nova got a great performance from BJ Hernandez as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Ayden Paredes, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jose Palencia was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Saint Andrew's pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.7 runs. As for Nova, their record is now 7-3.
