Softball Recap: Lake Minneola Finds Home Field Redemption Against Auburndale

There's no place like home for Lake Minneola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Auburndale Bloodhounds by a score of 7-4 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 back in March.

Kaydence Schutte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lake Minneola saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amaliz Martinez, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lake Minneola hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 4-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.
