Soccer Preview: Navasota vs. Sealy
The Navasota Rattlers will challenge the Sealy Tigers at 6:05 p.m. on Friday. Navasota knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Sealy likes a good challenge.
Navasota is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Hempstead get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Rattlers have won ten contests by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Sealy didn't have quite enough to beat Harmony School of Innovation on Tuesday and fell 4-3. Eduardo Barcenas was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.
Navasota is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 81 goals over those 12 matches. Sealy now has a losing record of 10-11.
Navasota was able to grind out a solid win over Sealy when the teams last played back in February, winning 2-0. Does Navasota have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sealy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
