League recap: Conner extends winning streak with victory over Covington Catholic

Conner extended the longest winning streak in 5A District 5 this week by beating Covington Catholic, 13-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Conner was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating the Colonels. James Trosper's team came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.
Tyler Morris has thrown for 1265 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Aaron Morgan has 24 catches for 462 yards. A.j. Collins leads the league in rushing with 1071 yards.
The Cougars and Covington Catholic played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Cougars eventually emerging with a 13-12 victory.
