Baseball Game Preview: Rio Vikings vs. Pardeeville Bulldogs

The Rio Vikings will square off against the Pardeeville Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Preston Jenkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Young, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Rio's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pardeeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rio has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pardeeville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Rio suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Pardeeville when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
