Softball Recap: Kelso Comes Up Short

After flying high against R.A. Long last Friday, Kelso came back down to earth. The Hilanders fell just short of the Camas Papermakers by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Hilanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Papermakers earlier this season, when they won 8-4.

Kelso got a massive performance out of Kalli Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that Carter launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Hall, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Kelso's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Camas, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Kelso didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Prairie on the 15th. As for Camas, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-1 victory against Evergreen on the 14th.
