Baseball Recap: Montwood Takes a Loss

Montwood lost against Coronado back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Montwood fell just short of Coronado by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since February 27th.

Montwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaykob Gomez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave Gomez a new career-high.

Montwood moved to 9-9-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Coronado, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Coronado beat Montwood by a score of 10-0 on Friday.
