Softball Recap: Butler Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Butler's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Warsaw Wildcats on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Butler saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Miller's first of the season.

Butler dropped their record down to 3-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Warsaw has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will take on Liberal at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warsaw, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Warsaw Wildcats face off against Green Ridge Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
