Baseball Recap: Chelsea Takes a Loss

Chelsea lost a heartbreaker to Spain Park when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Chelsea Hornets fell just short of the Spain Park Jaguars by a score of 4-3. The Hornets have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meetings.

Paxton Stallings made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Aiden Craven also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Spain Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chelsea will host Spain Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Spain Park, they will be playing at home against John Carroll Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
