Preview: Chino Hills Huskies vs. Upland Highlanders/Scots
The Chino Hills Huskies will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Upland Highlanders/Scots at 7:00 p.m.
Chino Hills fell victim to Rancho Cucamonga's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 49-0 loss at the hands of the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Chino Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Rancho Cucamonga is ranked tenth).
Meanwhile, Upland strolled past Etiwanda with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-28.
Upland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trent Dailey led the charge by rushing for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Noah Sandoval was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Upland's win bumped their season record to 6-2 while Chino Hills' loss dropped theirs to 5-4.
Chino Hills was dealt a bruising 28-0 defeat at the hands of Upland when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Chino Hills have more luck at home instead of on the road?
