Softball Recap: Deering Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennebunk, Deering was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Falmouth Navigators. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Navigators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Deering's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Falmouth, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Deering and Falmouth could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings. The Rams will square off against Cheverus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (95 vs. 2). Meanwhile, Falmouth (ranked 96th) will meet Massabesic (ranked 33rd) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
