Volleyball Recap: Stratton Makes It Seven in a Row at Home + How To Watch

Stratton had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Idalia on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Wolves 3-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Stratton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Idalia between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.

Stratton found their leader in sophomore Kaylynn Brandon, who had five digs and two aces.

Stratton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Idalia only served five.

Stratton's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Idalia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Stratton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Akron on the 27th. As for Idalia, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against La Veta on the 27th.
