Baseball Game Preview: Beyer Patriots vs. Grace Davis Spartans

For the second straight game, Beyer will face off against Grace Davis. Beyer will head out on the road to face off against Grace Davis at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beyer is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Beyer blew Grace Davis out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Grace Davis got their revenge. Beyer fell just short of Grace Davis by a score of 6-4.

For Grace Davis' part, Logan Ariza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ariza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Armando Villegas, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Mendoza Oscar was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
