Volleyball Recap: Sky View Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

It's playoff time, and Sky View had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bear River Bears on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory last Thursday.

Sky View had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.

Litianne Tauiautusa paced Sky View's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tauiautusa got some help from Reese Seeley and her 36 assists. Tauiautusa also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kamryn Walker, each putting up two.

Despite the loss, Bear River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kailyn Rice had 20 digs and one assist. Rice is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 20 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sky View is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. As for Bear River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.

Sky View has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Crimson Cliffs on the 27th. Bear River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
