Basketball Recap: Hobbton Comes Up Short

With Hobbton's effective field goal percentage at 100% and Princeton's at 34% on Tuesday, the final result was to be expected on Tuesday. The Hobbton Wildcats took a blow against the Princeton Bulldogs, falling 60-15. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.

Madison Sinclair was Hobbton's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Princeton found their leader in freshman Paisley Beddingfield, who shot 5-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beddingfield has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Hobbton's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Princeton, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Hobbton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midway at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Princeton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 29-27 win against Rosewood on the 13th.
