Basketball Game Preview: North Branch Vikings vs. St. Francis Fighting Saints

The North Branch Vikings will head out to square off against the St. Francis Fighting Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

North Branch is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Monticello just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by the Magic 74-39.

Meanwhile, St. Francis didn't have too much trouble with Chisago Lakes Area on Thursday as they won 48-30.

St. Francis' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for North Branch, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

North Branch beat St. Francis 62-51 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does North Branch have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Francis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
