Recap: Tilden Blue Devils vs. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies
The Tilden Blue Devils won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were beaten by Horizon Science Academy-Southwest 104-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tilden has scored all season.
Leading Horizon Science Academy-Southwest to victory were Shane Foster and Marlon Williams. Foster dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Williams dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 17 rebounds, and ten steals. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Fred Boyd was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five steals.
Tilden has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.
Tilden will take on Gage Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gage Park is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, they will head out on the road to challenge Instituto Health Sciences at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
