Softball Recap: PACT Charter Has No Trouble Against Legacy Christian Academy

It was a proper cat-fight when PACT Charter faced off against Legacy Christian Academy on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Lions. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won eight in a row.

Mia Sparre made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on June Tessum, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Megan Henry was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

PACT Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Legacy Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .071.

PACT Charter pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, PACT Charter will take on St. Agnes at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will welcome New Life Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
