Basketball Recap: Westview Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Westview lost against Central Noble back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Westview Warriors took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Noble Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Cougars are ranked 99th).

Westview lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Janissa Lehman, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Bontrager, who put up five points.

Taylor Custer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydintz Bales, who earned nine points.

Westview's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Central Noble, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Westview will head out to challenge Lakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Noble, they will host West Noble at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
