Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakland). They breezed by the AIMS College Prep Golden Eagles to the tune of 81-37 on Thursday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 883rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rohm Neal led the charge by going 8 of 9 en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Neal a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dominique Trotter, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.

Oakland was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Oakland's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for AIMS College Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
