Baseball Recap: Weston Extends Winning Streak to Three

Weston had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Choudrant Aggies as they made off with an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won three matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Drew Browning was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Blundell, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Liam Weaver was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Weston's record now sits at 7-2. As for Choudrant, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Weston will face off against Dunham at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Choudrant, they will square off against Red River at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
