Hialeah Gardens let Delania Aleman and Krystina Martinez run wild. Aleman went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Martinez went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylie Brenner, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hialeah Gardens lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, American never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Goleman as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Mia Harrison was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Harrison was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Solange Aleman was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Ashley Ramon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Hialeah Gardens' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for American, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Both Hialeah Gardens and American just can't seem to miss. The Gladiators have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like American struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hialeah Gardens suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to American in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Gladiators have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
