Baseball Recap: Campolindo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Northgate last Thursday, Campolindo came back down to earth. Campolindo fell just short of the Liberty Lions by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Campolindo got a good showing from Alex Rothey, who pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Rothey has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Campolindo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Campolindo will host College Park at 4:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Liberty, they are taking a road trip to square off against Miramonte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miramonte's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
