Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Kettle Run

Kettle Run entered their tilt with Warren County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Drew and Leah Trible did most of the damage at the plate: Drew got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Trible went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Drew has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Thomas, who went 4-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Kettle Run's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Warren County, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kettle Run is set to challenge their familiar foe Manassas Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Warren County will square off against rival James Wood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
