Granite Bay dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Ridge Trojans. The Grizzlies gained 75 more yards on the day, but it was the Trojans that made the best use of them.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Ene, who rushed for 89 yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Granite Bay's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

As for Oak Ridge, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.2 points.

Tyler Andujar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 108 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Granite Bay will look to defend their home field on Friday against Del Oro at 7:00 p.m. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Grizzlies' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Oak Ridge, they are taking a road trip to take on Folsom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 40.8 points per game this season.
