Volleyball Recap: Weymouth Wildcats vs. Archbishop Williams Bishops
Weymouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Archbishop Williams Bishops. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bishops this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 2nd.
Weymouth started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-22.
Samantha Lindblom paced Weymouth's offense, picking up ten kills. Lindblom got some help from Alina Goldstein and her 14 assists. Liv LaBarge controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Archbishop Williams found their leader in sophomore Mia Cartullo, who had 17 digs and three aces. Cartullo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Weymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Archbishop Williams, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
As of now, neither Weymouth nor Archbishop Williams have any future games scheduled.
