Cromwell hadn't done well against Coginchaug Regional recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cromwell never let Coginchaug Regional on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-22.

Victoria Narwot paced Cromwell's offense, picking up 13 kills. Narwot got some help from Piper Kovacs and her 20 assists. Ania Mockalis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cromwell now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Coginchaug Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cromwell will face off against rival Portland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Coginchaug Regional is set to challenge their familiar foe Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
