Football Recap: St. Augustine Beats East St. John for Their Second Straight Victory

St. Augustine won against McDonogh 35 last Saturday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Purple Knights beat the East St. John Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 56-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-0.

St. Augustine has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 56.0 points this season. As for East St. John, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Augustine will face off against Legacy School of Sport Sciences at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Purple Knights will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for East St. John, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hammond at 7:00 p.m.
