Recap: Hooper Academy Colts vs. Autauga Academy Generals
There's no place like home for the Hooper Academy Colts, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Autauga Academy on Thursday and snuck past 40-37. For Hooper Academy, this counts as revenge for the 46-39 defeat Autauga Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another.
Despite the loss, Autauga Academy saw an underclassman step up: Teonna Davis scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Chloe Davis was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Hooper Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Autauga Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Edgewood Academy the next time they take the court. Hooper Academy will head out to face Edgewood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Autauga Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
