Soccer Recap: Clint Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ysleta, Clint was happy to have turned things around on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Clint Lions who were credited with the victory. The Clint Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Austin Panthers's two. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Clint's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Austin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clint will venture away from home to square off against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clint's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Austin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
