Laylah Ali gave up the fewest walks she has since back in March on Wednesday. Nobody could stop her as she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Ali and Westchester will face off against Los Angeles CES at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Unicorns thanks in part to Ali: she struck out 11 batters over eight innings while giving up seven earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
