Basketball Recap: Veronica Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bellows Falls over Windsor

After flying high against Mill River last Saturday, Bellows Falls came back down to earth. The Bellows Falls Terriers lost to the Windsor Yellowjackets at home by a 48-34 margin on Friday. The Terriers were probably out for revenge after losing 58-40 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bellows Falls' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Veronica Moore, who posted eight points and five steals. Moore has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Nystrom, who earned 11 points and six rebounds.

Bellows Falls' record is now 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellows Falls and Leland & Gray will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Windsor will take on Springfield in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
