Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oviedo walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sunlake Seahawks a 2-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ellison Ruffin was the driving force of Oviedo's attack as he scored both of Oviedo's goals, bringing his season total up to 21 goals.

Oviedo's win bumped their record up to 14-3-3. As for Sunlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-3.

Coming up, Oviedo will venture away from home to take on Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oviedo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season. Sunlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
