Basketball Recap: Ethan Rothrock's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tuscarawas Central Catholic over Strasburg-Franklin

Tuscarawas Central Catholic lost against Strasburg-Franklin back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints fell just short of the Strasburg-Franklin Tigers by a score of 35-33.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Rothrock, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce McCollins, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Strasburg-Franklin, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic will head out on the road to face off against East Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Strasburg-Franklin, they will be playing at home against Malvern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Malvern's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
