Football Preview: Colfax Falcons vs. Oakmont Vikings
The Colfax Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Oakmont Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Colfax didn't have quite enough to beat Union Mine and fell 23-21. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oakmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in August. They skirted past River Valley 52-49. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their seven-point performance the contest before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Beau Ogles, who threw for 142 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. That's the most rushing yards Ogles has posted since back in September of 2023. Quin Duran was another key rusher, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Colfax now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Oakmont, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
