Burroughs and Serrano are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Burros will be playing in front of their home fans against the Diamondbacks at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Burroughs is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Burroughs' offense. They lost 6-0 to Apple Valley on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Serrano came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oak Hills on Thursday, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Diamondbacks have posted since February 27th.

Jacob Bannon was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Logan Wanco was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Serrano was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Serrano's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Burroughs, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Burroughs took their victory against Serrano in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 18-0 score. Will the Burros repeat their success, or do the Diamondbacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
