Basketball Game Preview: North Springs Spartans vs. Southwest DeKalb Panthers

The North Springs Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Southwest DeKalb Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, North Springs ended up a good deal behind Cambridge and lost 43-25. The Spartans have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Southwest DeKalb waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Angoras 60-10. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Southwest DeKalb pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points per game. As for North Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

North Springs was taken down by Southwest DeKalb 54-4 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can North Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
