Softball Recap: St. Anthony's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but St. Anthony unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 5-1 to the East Islip Redmen. The Friars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

St. Anthony's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Lee, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for East Islip, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

St. Anthony's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Islip, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Islip at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
