Softball Recap: Robinson Find Success

Robinson's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the McKeel Academy Wildcats by a score of 8-3. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Julia Garden was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Garden was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddy Satin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Samantha 'Sami' Rojas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

The win got Robinson back to even at 1-1.

Robinson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-4 defeat against Sickles on the 18th. As for McKeel Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Mulberry on the 18th.
