Football Recap: Everett Monteil and Caleb Cooke Pace Dimond Defense + How To Watch

Dimond extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds. Surprisingly, this marked the Lynx's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Dimond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Everett Monteil and Caleb Cooke.

As for Bettye Davis East Anchorage, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Among those leading the charge was Matthew Jackson, who rushed for 58 yards and one score on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in receiving yards (15).

Dimond and Bettye Davis East Anchorage are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lynx will venture away from home to square off against Bartlett at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Bears' defense has only allowed six points per game this season, so Dimond's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bettye Davis East Anchorage, they will head out to face off against Service at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th.
