Football Game Preview: Woodcreek Timberwolves vs. Christian Brothers Falcons + How To Watch

The Woodcreek Timberwolves will head out to face off against the Christian Brothers Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Woodcreek has five straight wins, Christian Brothers has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Woodcreek earned a 20-7 victory over Rio Americano. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Timberwolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Raiders are ranked 222nd).

A big part of Woodcreek's win came down to the chemistry between Josiah Melendez and his top target Trace Murchison. Melendez threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes while Murchison picked up 114 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Murchison's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 104 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Christian Brothers played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Vista del Lago 50-22. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.

Christian Brothers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Woodcreek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Woodcreek came up short against Christian Brothers in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 21-14. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
