Football Recap: East Lee County Takes a Loss

East Lee County had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it six. They were beaten by the Cypress Lake Panthers 53-6. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Cypress Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cypress Lake can attribute much of their success to Audrique Noel, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 55 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Lee County will challenge Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Cypress Lake, they will take on Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
