Basketball Game Preview: Gibson Southern Titans vs. Castle Knights

Gibson Southern hasn't had much luck against Castle recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gibson Southern Titans will square off against the Castle Knights at 7:00 p.m. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Brodey Lamb and Xander Niehaus.

Last Thursday, Gibson Southern came up short against Southridge and fell 57-49. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 16-10 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Castle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Bulldogs 61-37.

The victory got Castle back to even at 9-9. As for Gibson Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Gibson Southern came up short against Castle in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 59-55. Can Gibson Southern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
