Baseball Game Preview: Creekside Knights vs. Bolles Bulldogs

The Creekside Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Bolles Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Bolles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Creekside is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Spruce Creek just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 7-6.

Parker Morton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Connor Balazic also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Bolles proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-4. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Denzel Del Valle Delgado, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. James McCranie was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Bolles' record is now 12-4. As for Creekside, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Creekside came out on top in a nail-biter against Bolles in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creekside since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
