Soccer Recap: Washington County Comes Up Short

Washington County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Washington County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Academy for Classical Education are ranked 49th).

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Academy for Classical Education, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Washington County will host Lincoln County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will venture away from home to challenge East Laurens at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
