Basketball Recap: Polk Christian Prep Find Success

It's playoff time, and Polk Christian Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over the Community Leadership Academy Lions on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stars have posted since November 13, 2024.

Community Leadership Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Owen Brown, who went 8-for-15 en route to 21 points. Community Leadership Academy is 8-4 when Brown posts 15 or more points, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Landon Ivarson, who posted 13 points.

The win got Polk Christian Prep back to even at 7-7. As for Community Leadership Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-12.

As of now, neither Polk Christian Prep nor Community Leadership Academy have any future games scheduled.
