League recap: Military Magnet Academy's league-best two wins lead to standings climb

Military Magnet Academy outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its two total wins led the league. The Eagles beat St. John's 8-6 and Garrett Academy Tech 22-11.

Military Magnet Academy currently leads A Region VI with a 5-2 record overall and a 2-0 mark during league play. The Islanders sit -0.5 game back in second, with a 4-1 record in league play.

St. John's boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The Islanders' London Brown led the league in strikeouts this week with three. He's first in the league with 36 total strikeouts.



St. John's' Brown struck out eight Baptist Hill hitters en route to a 13-3 victory on March 19.
